Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how JoinCut (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

1. Analytics Data

The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data to improve the app experience:

• App usage patterns and feature interactions
• Device type and operating system version

This data is collected automatically and cannot be used to identify you personally.

2. Local Data

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Imported videos and the segments and edits you make
• App settings and preferences
• Your Plus purchase status

All video processing happens entirely on your device. Your videos and their contents are never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

Photo Library Access

The app requests access to your photo library only to let you pick videos to edit and to save the results back to Photos. Selected videos are read and processed entirely on your device, and are never uploaded anywhere.

File Access on Mac

On an Apple Silicon Mac, the app also lets you open videos directly from Finder or drag them into the window, and finished videos are saved to the location you choose rather than to Photos. Files opened this way are copied into the app’s own folder so they can be edited, and they never leave your Mac. The app only reads the files you pick or drop - it does not scan or browse your disk.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Contacts or calendar data
• Your videos, photos, or their contents (processed only on your device)

Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics (Privacy Policy)
• Apple StoreKit (iOS) / Google Play Billing (Android) - For in-app purchases, handled entirely by Apple or Google

Advertising

JoinCut does not display any advertisements. We do not use any advertising SDKs.

In-App Purchases

JoinCut offers a one-time in-app purchase (JoinCut Plus) that unlocks premium features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment details - we only receive confirmation of whether a purchase is active.

Data Security

Your local data is stored securely on your device. We do not have access to this data. Analytics data is handled by Google according to their security standards.

Children’s Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

• Delete local data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data and stops all analytics collection
• Limit tracking: You can manage app tracking and analytics permissions in your device’s privacy settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
